Improving diversity in cancer clinical trials is critically important to improving patient outcomes for all communities.

What are cancer clinical trials?

Clinical trials are studies to test new drugs, already approved drugs, devices, or other forms of treatments. Many clinical trials look at new ways to detect, diagnose, or measure the extent of disease. Some even look at ways to prevent diseases from happening. Learn more on the purpose and phases (0-4) of cancer clinical trials from the American Cancer Society.

At the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, clinical trials focus on testing new therapies for cancer, optimizing existing treatments, and developing ways to improve the quality of life for both healthy individuals and those living with cancer. Volunteer to join a cancer clinical trial.
